Reisdetails van Mijn eerste reis
Omschrijving:
Het ene moment vormen zich vage vakantieplannen in je hoofd en het volgende moment is het puzzelen om alle bagage in die ene backpack te krijgen - rollen of vouwen?
Nog geen twee weken en we zitten in een ander waterrijk land, Erin, oftewel Ierland. In het spoor van de Kelten die eeuwen geleden naar het eiland trokken, gaan wij het nu ontdekken; de schoonheid van het land, de Ierse cultuur, de Ierse vriendelijkheid en natuurlijk de Ierse pints... Een bezoekje aan de Atlantische oceaan, de Giant Causeway, Aran Islands, the Ring of Kerry en nog veel meer.
We nemen een duik in de mythen en legenden, waar we Cú Chulain, de held van Uster; Finn McCool, die wijs werd door te proeven van de zalm der kennis en later reuzen overwon; Cernunnos, de gehoornde, de heer van de dieren; Lugh, de stralende; en De Daghda, de Almachtige van Grote Kennis en Heer van de Andere wereld, tegenkomen. Net als wellicht wat feeën, leprechauns en banshees...(of liever niet natuurlijk).
Onze treinreis begint in het door de vikingen gestichte Dyflinn - juist, dat is later Dublin geworden -, waarna we naar Galway zullen reizen. Hier willen we onder andere de Aran Islands bezoeken. Na Galway brengt de trein ons naar Killarney, alwaar de Ring of Kerry en de meren van Killarney op ons wachten. Vervolgens is het nog maar een klein eindje naar Cork, waar we de continentale sfeer van dit stadje gaan proeven. Daarna kunnen jullie ons vinden in het zuidoosten van Ierland, in Kilkenny. Hier staat Kilkenny Castle, maar in de buurt liggen ook de prachtige tuinen van Powerscourt. Na de pracht en praal van Ierland, verlaten we het land en gaan naar Noord-Ierland, naar Belfast en Derry. De Giant Causeway is hier wellicht wel hetgeen waar we het meest naar uitkijken. Onwerkelijk dat de natuur zoiets daar heeft neergelegd. Na Derry zit de reis er alweer bijna op, terug naar Dublin, waar het vliegtuig ons terug naar huis zal brengen.
Al met al zullen het 18 drukke leuke en indrukwekkende dagen worden. We hebben er zin in!

Reisdetails van Mijn eerste reis
Omschrijving:
Het ene moment vormen zich vage vakantieplannen in je hoofd en het volgende moment is het puzzelen om alle bagage in die ene backpack te krijgen - rollen of vouwen?
Nog geen twee weken en we zitten in een ander waterrijk land, Erin, oftewel Ierland. In het spoor van de Kelten die eeuwen geleden naar het eiland trokken, gaan wij het nu ontdekken; de schoonheid van het land, de Ierse cultuur, de Ierse vriendelijkheid en natuurlijk de Ierse pints... Een bezoekje aan de Atlantische oceaan, de Giant Causeway, Aran Islands, the Ring of Kerry en nog veel meer.
We nemen een duik in de mythen en legenden, waar we Cú Chulain, de held van Uster; Finn McCool, die wijs werd door te proeven van de zalm der kennis en later reuzen overwon; Cernunnos, de gehoornde, de heer van de dieren; Lugh, de stralende; en De Daghda, de Almachtige van Grote Kennis en Heer van de Andere wereld, tegenkomen. Net als wellicht wat feeën, leprechauns en banshees...(of liever niet natuurlijk).
Onze treinreis begint in het door de vikingen gestichte Dyflinn - juist, dat is later Dublin geworden -, waarna we naar Galway zullen reizen. Hier willen we onder andere de Aran Islands bezoeken. Na Galway brengt de trein ons naar Killarney, alwaar de Ring of Kerry en de meren van Killarney op ons wachten. Vervolgens is het nog maar een klein eindje naar Cork, waar we de continentale sfeer van dit stadje gaan proeven. Daarna kunnen jullie ons vinden in het zuidoosten van Ierland, in Kilkenny. Hier staat Kilkenny Castle, maar in de buurt liggen ook de prachtige tuinen van Powerscourt. Na de pracht en praal van Ierland, verlaten we het land en gaan naar Noord-Ierland, naar Belfast en Derry. De Giant Causeway is hier wellicht wel hetgeen waar we het meest naar uitkijken. Onwerkelijk dat de natuur zoiets daar heeft neergelegd. Na Derry zit de reis er alweer bijna op, terug naar Dublin, waar het vliegtuig ons terug naar huis zal brengen.
Al met al zullen het 18 drukke leuke en indrukwekkende dagen worden. We hebben er zin in!

Reisdetails van Mijn eerste reis
Omschrijving:
Het ene moment vormen zich vage vakantieplannen in je hoofd en het volgende moment is het puzzelen om alle bagage in die ene backpack te krijgen - rollen of vouwen?
Nog geen twee weken en we zitten in een ander waterrijk land, Erin, oftewel Ierland. In het spoor van de Kelten die eeuwen geleden naar het eiland trokken, gaan wij het nu ontdekken; de schoonheid van het land, de Ierse cultuur, de Ierse vriendelijkheid en natuurlijk de Ierse pints... Een bezoekje aan de Atlantische oceaan, de Giant Causeway, Aran Islands, the Ring of Kerry en nog veel meer.
We nemen een duik in de mythen en legenden, waar we Cú Chulain, de held van Uster; Finn McCool, die wijs werd door te proeven van de zalm der kennis en later reuzen overwon; Cernunnos, de gehoornde, de heer van de dieren; Lugh, de stralende; en De Daghda, de Almachtige van Grote Kennis en Heer van de Andere wereld, tegenkomen. Net als wellicht wat feeën, leprechauns en banshees...(of liever niet natuurlijk).
Onze treinreis begint in het door de vikingen gestichte Dyflinn - juist, dat is later Dublin geworden -, waarna we naar Galway zullen reizen. Hier willen we onder andere de Aran Islands bezoeken. Na Galway brengt de trein ons naar Killarney, alwaar de Ring of Kerry en de meren van Killarney op ons wachten. Vervolgens is het nog maar een klein eindje naar Cork, waar we de continentale sfeer van dit stadje gaan proeven. Daarna kunnen jullie ons vinden in het zuidoosten van Ierland, in Kilkenny. Hier staat Kilkenny Castle, maar in de buurt liggen ook de prachtige tuinen van Powerscourt. Na de pracht en praal van Ierland, verlaten we het land en gaan naar Noord-Ierland, naar Belfast en Derry. De Giant Causeway is hier wellicht wel hetgeen waar we het meest naar uitkijken. Onwerkelijk dat de natuur zoiets daar heeft neergelegd. Na Derry zit de reis er alweer bijna op, terug naar Dublin, waar het vliegtuig ons terug naar huis zal brengen.
Al met al zullen het 18 drukke leuke en indrukwekkende dagen worden. We hebben er zin in!

Nog geen twee weken en we zitten in een ander waterrijk land, Erin, oftewel Ierland. In het spoor van de Kelten die eeuwen geleden naar het eiland trokken, gaan wij het nu ontdekken; de schoonheid van het land, de Ierse cultuur, de Ierse vriendelijkheid en natuurlijk de Ierse pints... Een bezoekje aan de Atlantische oceaan, de Giant Causeway, Aran Islands, the Ring of Kerry en nog veel meer.
We nemen een duik in de mythen en legenden, waar we Cú Chulain, de held van Uster; Finn McCool, die wijs werd door te proeven van de zalm der kennis en later reuzen overwon; Cernunnos, de gehoornde, de heer van de dieren; Lugh, de stralende; en De Daghda, de Almachtige van Grote Kennis en Heer van de Andere wereld, tegenkomen. Net als wellicht wat feeën, leprechauns en banshees...(of liever niet natuurlijk).
Onze treinreis begint in het door de vikingen gestichte Dyflinn - juist, dat is later Dublin geworden -, waarna we naar Galway zullen reizen. Hier willen we onder andere de Aran Islands bezoeken. Na Galway brengt de trein ons naar Killarney, alwaar de Ring of Kerry en de meren van Killarney op ons wachten. Vervolgens is het nog maar een klein eindje naar Cork, waar we de continentale sfeer van dit stadje gaan proeven. Daarna kunnen jullie ons vinden in het zuidoosten van Ierland, in Kilkenny. Hier staat Kilkenny Castle, maar in de buurt liggen ook de prachtige tuinen van Powerscourt. Na de pracht en praal van Ierland, verlaten we het land en gaan naar Noord-Ierland, naar Belfast en Derry. De Giant Causeway is hier wellicht wel hetgeen waar we het meest naar uitkijken. Onwerkelijk dat de natuur zoiets daar heeft neergelegd. Na Derry zit de reis er alweer bijna op, terug naar Dublin, waar het vliegtuig ons terug naar huis zal brengen.
Al met al zullen het 18 drukke leuke en indrukwekkende dagen worden. We hebben er zin in!
